INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING KING'S 

WIDE GRIP SAFETIES 

NO'S 205 

King's Wide Grip Safeties are made as a drop in fit for the Commercial Colt Automatic Model not the Military Model. Due to variations in frames and length of tangs, they may require a slight amount of fitting if binding. 

I. Make sure the pistol is unloaded, and remove the Magazine. 

2. If Grip Safety does not slip in freely, check contact points and relieve so Grip Safety works freely. Check and make sure Grip Safety blocks trigger by pushing on trigger with thumb safety disengaged and the Grip Safety in the pyt position. Hammer should not drop. If Commander Hammer is used in Govemmeff Model Pistol use #205 King's Wide Grip safety 

with milled out notch so hammer will clear in full cock position. 

3. This is an easy installation, if you are familiar with the workings of the Colt pistol. 

4. Install, and re-assemble Pistol. Test for Safe Function.
