With this kit, you'll have all that you need to drastically reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip - giving you greater control over your gun for improved accuracy and shooting. This kit is the perfect balance between two SHOK-BUFF buffers and one heavy duty recoil spring - providing exceptional support for up to 3,000 rounds! For optimum performance, you should replace your SHOK-BUFF every 1,000 rounds fired and the recoil spring every 2,000. When these are gone or worn out - it's time to get a new set so that you can continue enjoying optimal results. Buying this kit also serves as great reminder of when it's time to switch out parts in order to maintain peak efficiency.

Recommended Use: Full-Size 5" .45 ACP shooting 230 gr. hardball equivalent or standard pressure JHP self-defense ammunition or 10mm shooting target ammunition with a power factor of 175,000 to 195,000 ( Velocity x Bullet Weight = Power Factor )

NOTE: Our 18.5 lb recoil springs have a closed coil on one end to help them seat firmly on the guide rod. The closed coil end can be identified by its two close windings and narrow inside diameter. For proper installation, slide the closed coil end over the guide rod stem, this will leave the open end of the spring against the recoil spring plug. Improper recoil spring installation can lead to erratic cycling and possible guide rod damage.

NOTE: Always wear high-quality safety glasses when installing or fitting any spring to prevent eye injury. High-quality safety eyeglasses should be used when shooting any firearm.
